Nisku Facility

Nisku, Alberta

Since 2012, LMG’s Nisku facility has been the hub for our administrative team, drafting department, procurement, and IT services. The offices are attached to a 6,000 square foot preparation facility, which trims and squares all the plates used in tank fabrication at our Vermilion and Battleford sites. Equipped with an 11-foot x 55-foot high-definition plasma table for cutting and two 10-ton overhead cranes with a magnetic spreader bar, this facility is vital for our preparation and initial fabrication processes.

Vermilion Facility

Vermilion, Alberta

Our Vermilion facility is a fully self-contained, 47,000 square-foot fabrication site capable of building tanks up to 23′ 6″ in diameter and approximately 40′ tall in a quality-controlled indoor environment. The facility features several overhead cranes (ranging from 5 to 20 tons) with 50′ under the hook and yard cranes with capacities up to 100 tons, allowing us to handle almost any task indoors or in our 18 acres of storage yard.

In addition to fabrication, Vermilion houses a finishing shop, equipped with a 50′ by 75′ blast bay, a 50′ by 50′ insulation bay, and a 55′ by 75′ paint bay, with 25′ wide doors to accommodate large shop-built storage tanks. We emphasize environmental responsibility by recycling blast medium, avoiding silica blast products, and using 100% solids and low VOC coatings whenever possible. Our commitment to environmentally friendly practices makes smart business sense.

Vermilion also coordinates small parts sales, boasting strong inventory levels, and is home to our administrative staff, QC and safety personnel, and regional sales representatives.

Battleford Facility

Battleford, Saskatchewan

Designed similarly to our Vermilion facility, the Battleford site allows for the construction of large capacity tanks in a quality-controlled indoor environment. The facility features a 68′ by 75′ blast bay, a 75′ by 68′ paint and insulation bay, and widened doors for indoor construction of tanks up to 35′ in diameter, taking advantage of Saskatchewan’s wider load shipping regulations. With several overhead cranes (5 to 20 tons) and 50′ under the hook, our Battleford facility enables the fabrication of custom tanks larger than the competition.
